Auronzo di Cadore, a ski resort in the Italian Dolomites
The ski resort of Auronzo di Cadore lies at the foot of the "Three Peaks of Lavaredo" in the Italian region of Veneto, It is located at a low altitude, but thanks to the powerful snowmaking system and its favorable microclimate, you can ski throughout the entire winter season. It is one of the most interesting ski resorts in the Dolomites located entirely inside the ski network area called "Dolomiti Superski" that offers skiers more than 25 km of ski slopes of different difficulty.

The ski area of Auronzo is equipped with a convenient and fast chairlift system serving some beautiful black slopes that are certainly for experienced skiers. The slopes stretch on Monte Agudo and in its upper part there are other lifts that serve some nice red slopes. The ski area of Monte Agudo offers 15 km of slopes and includes 4 lifts: Taiarezze, Malon, Fedo, Ansiei.

Auronzo di Cadore offers all kinds of ski disciplines: cross-country skiing, alpine snowboarding, sledding and many more. Nordic skiing is available in about 27 km of trails that wind through the edge of the Nature Reserve of Somadida. Alpine skiers can climb up the Val Marzon that leads to the foot of the Famous Three Peaks.

Misurina, a small lake not far from the ski resort of Auronzo, is one of the most beautiful and charming places in this area. It is not a case that this enchanting lake is nicknamed "the pearl of the Dolomites": the Three Peaks of Lavaredo and Mount Cristallo are mirrored in its crystal clear waters surrounded by silent forests and amazing views on the Dolomites giving a unique and unforgettable experience to travellers.

In the nearby area of Misurina, skiing is possible 6 months a year. The area is crossed by several paths. Trekking is also possible with snowshoes even in winter, as refuges and hotels are open the whole year.
